We are not a 1% club and we claim no territory. We are a nonprofit 501c(3) organization and a chartered chapter of the National Association of Buffalo Solders & Troopers Motorcycle Club (NABSTMC), the world's largest predominately African American motorcycle club.
We ride under the name of the Buffalo Soldiers to honor the courageous and historic accomplishments of the African American Soldiers of the 9th and 10th Cavalry Regiments, known as the Buffalo Soldiers.
In1866 legislation was enacted that established a peacetime military. Due to segregation, a provision of this legislation created six (6) African American regiments - 4 infantry and 2 cavalry. In August of 1866, the 9th Calvary was organized in Greenville, LA and 10th Cavalry was organized at Ft. Leavenworth, KS. The first mission of the recruits, mostly freed slaves, was to escort Native Americans from their indigenous lands to designated reservations.
The Native Americans gave the soldiers the nickname "Buffalo Soldiers" as a testament to their valor in battle. The buffalo was a sacred animal to the Native Americans, so the name would not be bestowed if it was not earned. The Buffalo Soldiers were ferocious in battle, fighting to the end, and living up to their mottos: "We can, We Will" ; "Ready and Forward".
We honor their legacy through community service.
We serve in our community by:
We are a club made up of like-minded , safety conscientious men and women from all walks of life who love the sport of motorcycling. We ride short and long distances to support community service activities and events that align with our mission.
I am a Buffalo Soldier, and as a Buffalo Soldier, I will uphold the standards and the Traditions set forth by my chapter and the National Association of Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers motorcycle club.
I am proud of my colors and the rich history that they represent. I will wear my colors with pride and will do all within my power to educate the general public about the rich history of the 9th and 10th Calvary Buffalo Soldiers.
I respect my colors and my Buffalo Soldier sisters and brothers. And when my riding days come to and end, I wish to be remembered as one who served with dignity as a responsible biker and a proud Buffalo Soldier.
